In the Chiemgau, we actively preserve our traditions and our history. You can discover both during a holiday to the region. The only difficulty is deciding which one you should choose.
Even the Celts and Romans set up camp in Chiemgau and have left their mark. Exhibits from this period can be viewed in Seebruck`s museum, which is named after the town's former name.
Meanwhile in Waging, the Bajuwarenmuseum presents the history of the "original Bavarians".
The museum in Siegsdorf leads you even further back in time. 45,000-year-old mammoth bones and even a whole mammoth skeleton can be seen here, amongst other things.
