There are also suitable routes for holidaymakers who are trying mountain biking for the very first time

  • Start, for example, in Ruhpolding and cycle via Lake Lödensee to the Röthelmoosalm and Eschelmoosalm alpine meadows.
  • The ascent to the Sotteralm is also easy enough to manage and begins in Reit im Winkl.

Otherwise, some mountains give you the option of travelling to the top with your mountain bike via cable car and then enjoying the descent from the saddle.
